King's Day is also celebrated in Dalyan every year. A Dutch tradition on the day that the current King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands celebrates his birthday. And true to tradition, most partygoers wear orange clothing and accessories. It is not the color of the Dutch flag but is derived from the surname of the royal family "Van Oranje". It's not a closed party. People from other countries are also welcome. The idea is that each guest brings something tasty and adds it to the buffet.
