Many home-made products

eigengemaakte produktenWhen we have time, we are often busy producing home-made products. A real hobby of ours. For example, you can enjoy 5 home-made jams, home-made olives and home-made sun-dried tomatoes for breakfast. And as a drink, you can enjoy home-made Limoncello, Cilekcello and Portacello. These last 2 are variations on Limoncello but based on strawberries and oranges. Of course, the (warm) Turkish specialties for breakfast are also home-made.

Mascot

mascotte@Home Dalyan B&B has its own mascot: a pink flamingo. This mascot was spontaneously 'born' in the first year of our existence and was adored by the first visitors. This mascot regularly appears in the stories we write on Facebook or Instagram and can always be found in and around our swimming pool. It also works hard to make the B&B a success, but that usually happens when no one is watching or when everyone is asleep. However, it does not have a name yet, so if anyone has a nice and original name, please let us know!

Christmas markets

kerstmarktenEven though Turkey is a predominantly Muslim country, Christmas markets are organized here every year and you see Christmas-related Christmas items in the streets. It gives a cozy atmosphere in the dark days. And the Muslims themselves also participate. Not specifically for Christmas because they don't have much to do with that. They mainly use it for the festive decoration around New Year's Eve. And Dalyan has been participating for years.

King's Day in Dalyan

Koningsdag DalyanKing's Day is also celebrated in Dalyan every year. A Dutch tradition on the day that the current King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands celebrates his birthday. And true to tradition, most partygoers wear orange clothing and accessories. It is not the color of the Dutch flag but is derived from the surname of the royal family "Van Oranje". It's not a closed party. People from other countries are also welcome. The idea is that each guest brings something tasty and adds it to the buffet.
